Since after introduction of new web stories by Google, it has been trendy among bloggers.
It became a new way of getting more traffic to websites. Many big and small sites are using this feature to give details in short and also to get traffic.
If you don’t know how to get started, this article will benefit you.
HOW TO CREATE WEB STORIES FOR YOUR WEBSITE?
Before putting it on the site, you have to make a web store to show it to visitors. The story will be attractive short and must deliver the purpose. The report should be defined to attract more users to your site. After all, that’s the primary motive.
To make web stories, Google offers its service. You can start with it if you are a beginner. But I recommend makestories.io it is very advanced and gives many more features. The UI is straightforward. Anyone can easily understand it. It fundamentally offers advanced features, so it is clear to use.
HOW TO ADD WEB STORY IN WORDPRESS?
To add web stories to your website, you need to install a WordPress plugin called “Web Stories.” Google officially provides this plugin. After installation, you have to activate this plugin to get started.
If you have installed any SEO plugin like I use “Rank Math,” you have to visit the Sitemap option. You will see the Stories option navigate there and enable the “Include in Sitemap” option.
On the top, you will also see your “Sitemap URL” copy it and then visit your Google Search Console. Go to the site map option, paste the Add a new Sitemap option, and click submit.
This step is only for those who use API indexing on their site. Go to the Instant Indexing option, tick mark the stories option, and click on save changes.
After the plugin is enabled, you will see the Stories option below the Comments option. Here you can create and publish stories. The plugin is by Google, so it is the service provided by Google, which I told earlier. You can also start with this, but you already know my recommendation.
After you finish making your story, you should go to the “Documentation” part and make some changes. First, you have to add a poster image from your computer to it. Then you have to write the Description of the story. You can edit the permalink or leave it as it is. You can also change the duration between slides, but Auto is recommended. You should add your website’s logo on the ‘Logo’ section as it is a mandatory field.
After you finish editing and designing the story, you will see a publish button on top. To publish your account, you should click on that button.
WHY YOU SHOULD USE WEB STORIES FOR YOUR WEBSITE?
Here are some points to get more engagement on your story and your account.
- If you use this official plugin that I suggested to you in this article, you don’t need AMP. However, if you use other plugins or methods, you need AMP; otherwise, your story will not rank or even show in Google.
- Make at least 6 to 8 slides. You can make more but not less.
- At Least write around 500 words in your story. It counts the words which you have written throughout all the slides.
- Always add a button with an interesting title, so people click on it.
- Add Adsense code to earn from your stories.
INCREASE YOUR REVENUE BY APPLYING ADSENSE CODE INTO WEB STORIES:
You can also add ads to your web stories and earn from them. If you just started adding stories, then don’t give ads once you have a decent number of viewers, then begin putting ads.
To put ads in web stories, you should navigate to the stories section of WordPress, which is created after installing the plugin. Go to the settings option there and scroll down.
You will see Google Adsense written there, and below it asking for your Publisher ID and Slot ID. Fill up those filled, and Google ads will start showing into your site’s story.
Like the status, the thing is trendy in many social media platforms where people can get updates concisely. The web stories also started getting some hype.
You should follow this trend and begin adding web stories. It will help your existing users and also bring you more new users.
